The 2024 Porsche 911 Carrera T is back for the 992 generation, now available as both a coupé and, for the first time, a cabriolet. Staying true to its roots as the driver-focused variant, the 2024 Carrera T is built for enthusiasts who seek an unfiltered, analogue driving experience (that isn’t a GT3).
The Carrera T sits between the 911 Carrera and Carrera S, powered by the same 3.0-litre, twin-turbo flat-six boxer engine found in the base Carrera. It delivers 394 PS and 450 Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
This translates to a 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds for the coupé and 4.7 seconds for the cabriolet. Its top speeds clock in at 295 km/h for the coupé and 293 km/h for the cabriolet.
Porsche has stripped down the Carrera T by incorporating lightweight glass and reduced sound insulation, trimming up to 42 kg from the standard Carrera. This effort to cut weight makes the Carrera T coupé the lightest variant in the 911 range at 1,478 kg.
Visually, the Carrera T can be spotted by the Vanadium Grey accents on the exterior mirrors, wheels, and model badging, creating a clean, athletic appearance. The 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Carrera S alloy wheels feature a partially machined face, mixing Vanadium Grey for a sleek contrast.
The rear side windows carry a decal of the manual shift pattern. It borrows the front spoiler from the 911 GTS and sports black stainless steel Sport Exhaust tips.
Porsche has equipped the 911 T with rear-axle steering and a more direct steering ratio at the front, providing quicker lateral response and sharper handling through corners.
The T-specific suspension package includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with 10 mm lowered adaptive sports suspension and fine-tuned anti-roll bars at both ends for a balanced and neutral ride.
Standard features also include Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) and the Sport Chrono Package with the Track Precision App, auto-blip function, and Porsche’s unique six-speed manual shifter topped with a walnut ball knob—a nod to classic driving that’s both tactile and visually appealing.
Inside, the Carrera T cabin is designed to let drivers focus on the essentials. Standard black four-way adjustable Sport-Tex seats feature a plaid pattern with an embroidered 911 logo, while the gear lever is topped with an exclusive walnut wood knob. For those looking for an even sportier setup, options include 18-way Adaptive Sports Seats Plus or fixed-back carbon fibre buckets.
Decorative inlays in Vanadium Grey complement the black brushed aluminium accents on the door panels. The interior can be customised further with the Gentian Blue design package, which brings blue contrast stitching, blue seat belts, and other accents. A "Manual Transmission" badge on the dash serves as a subtle reminder of the car’s analogue spirit.
Customers can select from a palette of 12 colours, including options like Cartagena Yellow, Shade Green, and Gentian Blue. For an extra touch, the optional Gentian Blue design package swaps the grey accents for blue, while the upper mirror caps turn black.
