Forget using RFID to pay for tolls for time being, TnG eWallet facing issues 01

Today on Malaysia’s crumbling transport infrastructure, for those of you who are taking toll roads to get to your destination, you’ll have to use physical Touch ‘n Go (TnG) cards instead of RFID as the TnG eWallet service has been temporarily interrupted.

Thus, this affects users who rely on RFID or PayDirect for their toll payments. So much for the “future” of toll collection.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0'); });

In the latest update on social media, TnG eWallet apologised for the trouble and said that its team is “currently rectifying this matter”. It also adds that it will update accordingly as soon as the service is back online.

For the time being, users can only access the toll roads through physical cards or with a SmartTag. Make sure you have enough balance in your cards to ensure a smooth journey ahead. We’ll be updating this story as soon as there are announcements.
