The G87 2023 BMW M2 has made its debut in Thailand at the ongoing 44th Bangkok International Motor Show. The high performance, compact, rear-wheel drive coupe is priced at THB 6,499,000 (around RM 843k).

Powering the 2023 BMW M2 is the S58 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine with 460 PS/550 Nm, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 km/h takes 4.1 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 250 km/h.

On the outside, the air intakes on the 2023 BMW M2’s front bumper are squared-off, so is the kidney grille that is unframed. It gets Adaptive LED headlamps, automatic high beam adjustment, M Compound brakes with red callipers and a carbon roof.

Buyers are able to choose between two finishing options for the wheels – Jet Black or bi-colour. Wheels are M light alloy wheels in 930 M Double Spoke style, 19-inch at the front and 20-inch at the rear.

Suspension at the front end is held up by double-joint spring strut front axle and the wishbones are now made of aluminium. At the rear, it’s a five-link. An Active M Differential and M Adaptive Suspension round it up.

Inside, the BMW iDrive runs on the current BMW Operating System 8. There’s a curved screen with dual-widescreen display measuring 12.3-inch for the instrument cluster and 14.9-inch for the infotainment display. Audio is handled by the Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Available exterior colours for the 2023 BMW M2 are: Zandvoort Blue, Alpine White, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, and Toronto Red.

As for Malaysia, the G87 2023 BMW M2 is offered in two variants. Estimated retail pricing (OTR without insurance, with extended warranty and service package) is RM 598,800 for the standard M2 and RM 642,800 for the M2 with Pro Package.
