The Xingyue L is the third vehicle built on the well-known CMA platform, after the coupe SUV Geely Xingyue (known internationally as the Tugella) and the sedan Geely Xingrui (better known as the Preface).
Geely picked the name ‘Xingyue’ for their latest SUV to easily distinguish the car as part of the growing CMA family.
Powering the Xingyue L is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine mated to an 8-speed gearbox from Aisin. Together the unit delivers 238 PS and 350 Nm. Power is sent to all 4 wheels via a sixth-generation Haldex all-wheel-drive system.

Geely claims the Xingyue L is capable of making the century sprint in 7.7 seconds with a fuel consumption value of 7.7-litre/ 100 km.
On the inside, the centrepiece is the epic 100 cm touchscreen that spans the centre dashboard to the passenger side. It features 2 screens, the middle screen being the in-car entertainment centre and another screen for the front passenger.
It is the largest touchscreen on a car at the moment, pending the arrival of the Mercedes-Benz MBUX Hyperscreen that is.
Geely is leaning heavily on the luxury scale with the Geely Xingyue L. The brand hopes that the new SUV would allow them to continue showcasing the brand’s improving luxury factor that Geely first kicked into high gear with the Preface.
Want to see live photos of the Xingyue L? Geely will put the SUV on display at the Auto Shanghai 2021 that will be happening on 21 to 28 April 2021. So watch this space.
