Following last week’s reveal of the exterior of the Geely Preface, some people can’t help but notice the whole Volvo connection in the design of the future(?) Proton Perdana. Well, maybe these interior pics might tell you otherwise.

The flagship Geely sedan gets a really exquisite-looking yacht blue and light grey colour combo that definitely stands out when you step foot inside. It doesn’t look like a Volvo inside, but it does have an aura of one.

Adding on the luxury feel is the floating 12.3-inch screen that is located in the centre of the interior and a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel. Trapezoid appears to be the theme of the interior of the Preface with trapezoidal air vents and a trapezoidal push start/stop button seen inside.

The Preface also gets a Bose sound system which has a unique line pattern across the speakers. These lines are also stitched on the door upholstery which adds a sense of spaciousness and exclusivity. It’s something you would come across as normal in a Continental car but really exquisite in a Chinese car.

The Preface is set to be launched in China in the fourth quarter of 2020 and will be the second Geely model that is built on the CMA platform.

For a flagship sedan, the Preface definitely gives off that high-end style that rivals even the best of Germany but probably for a fraction of the price. With it looking very Swedish on the outside but distinctly modern and contemporary inside, would you want to put your money on it if Proton brings this over as a Perdana?
