If there ever is a company that knows how to make a good car video, that is the Geely Motor Group. They’ve released plenty of cool videos for their Yue/Rui models and now for the Zeekr 001 as well.

Zeekr is Geely’s new premium electric vehicle brand aimed to give Tesla a run for its money. The 001 is the first model the company has ever released and one of the first cars built on the company’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). It was first previewed as the Lynk & Co Zero concept before it came to life as the production car.

Measuring at 4,970 mm long, comparable to the Tesla Model S, the 001 comes fitted with cool features like automatic opening doors as shown in the video, adjustable air suspension only on the all-wheel-drive variants, and also a massive 14.7-inch centre touchscreen.
But those are just fillers placed in the video to highlight what the electric vehicle (EV) has to offer, the main point of the video is the driving dynamics of the 001. The EV can manage the century sprint in 3.8 seconds and the electric motors produce as much as 544 PS and 767 Nm.

There are two battery options to choose from, the smaller 86-kWh battery good for a range of 525 km and a 110-kWh battery that is good for 712 km on the NEDC cycle.
To show off its moves, directors brought the EV onto a race track and even added a reverse flick as a bonus.

The 001 was launched in April 2021, currently the company has already sold out its entire 2021 stock. Deliveries are expected to start in October 2021. Meanwhile, Zeekr is estimating to reopen order books this month (August).
