Geely Yuanjing X6 Pro: 1.4 Turbo & CVT automatic, Proton X70's cheaper sibling

Geely will be launching the Geely Yuanjing X6 Pro in China later this month, carrying with it a new exterior and interior design.

In China, the Geely Yuanjing X6 Pro (Vision X6 Pro) is positioned as Geely’s more affordable SUV, slotted below the Geely Boyue. The outgoing model is priced between CNY 68,900 (~RM 45k) to CNY 99,900 (~RM 64k), cheaper than the Geely Boyue (CNY 89,800 to CNY 146,800).

For its 2021 model year update, the X6 Pro is grafted on with Geely’s new front grille with vertical slats and a black Geely emblem. A front camera and radar module can also be spotted.

It also gets dual-tone 18-inch wheels at all four corners, as well a redesigned rear bumper, now replete with larger muffler exits on each end of the silver trim piece.

Geely has also overhauled the cabin of the X6 Pro. While the general design is similar, the new car gets unified-looking air-cond vent, stretching from the passenger side to the driver one. The cabin on the new car also gets a unique checkered-pattern insert on the dashboard and door trims. It also gets a new T-shaped gear lever.

Powering the new Yuanjing X6 Pro is a turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine with 141 PS and 235 Nm, mated either to a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic, or a CVT-type automatic.
