It’s a not so open secret, but UMW Toyota Motor has just confirmed the company will be launching 3 high performance GR models in 2023.
The first on the list is the Toyota GR 86, suggesting that this will be the first of the trio to be launched. The second generation of the Toyota-Subaru now wears the GR badge. Its Subaru twin is currently sold by TC Subaru for RM 249,000 but historically, the Toyota-badged twin will command a higher premium, so expect prices for the new 86, now a 2.4-litre model, to be priced higher.

Next on the list is the four-wheel drive Toyota GR Corolla. This is the first time the GR Corolla is formally acknowledged by the company. The model had just made its regional debut last week in Thailand.

The last of the GR model to be launched is a new Toyota GR Supra, now with a 6-speed manual transmission.

None of the three GR models have had their prices announced yet. More will be revealed in 2023.
