Photos of both models – silhouettes, at least – have emerged on the company's social media pages, teasing their imminent launch.
Now front-wheel drive (FWD), both models sit on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA). According to prior reports, the Veloz Cross (sitting one rung higher than the Avanza) will come with automatic LED headlights, leather seats, automatic air cond, electronic parking brake (EPB), and wireless charger as standard.
The Veloz Cross Top, being the model's range topper, is said to come with 17-inch wheels and a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Meanwhile, the Avanza Premio is reportedly a bit more basic compared to the Veloz Cross range.
Besides the bigger wheels and screen, the Veloz Cross Top is reportedly the sole variant to get the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) ADAS suite, which bundles pre-collision warning (PCW), rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA), lane departure warning (LDW), and blind-spot warning (BSW).

The 2NR-VE, 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated mill (105 PS /136 Nm) is expected to continue service in the Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio.
More details will follow after these models make their launch over in Vietnam.
