The Proton X50 – as we have now firmly established – has been quite the hit with Malaysian buyers. And why not? For the asking price, it's got a pretty comprehensive list of goodies inside and out.

There are many things to love about the Proton X50, (you can learn more about the X50's Pros and Cons right here) but if there's one glaring flaw to highlight, it would be the lack of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration in the infotainment system.

All is not lost, however. The Proton X50 does have its own smartphone connectivity, in the form of QD Link. How does QD Link work? Well, let our colleague Adrian show you how to get the best out it.

So, whilst the QD Link might not be as optimised as its Apple and Android counterparts, you still get a pretty nifty-looking solution in their place. Check it out.
