This here is the Mitsubishi Xforce, spotted in Thailand by a reader of Autolife Thailand. The publication reports that it should make its Thai launch sometime in March 2025, making it the next market for the SUV as it was introduced in Indonesia and Vietnam (among other ASEAN markets) before this.

Specs for the Thailand market are yet to be announced, though Autolife says that it could launch with the Xpander Hybrid’s 1.6-litre hybrid powertrain there. As it is currently in other markets, the Xforce shares a running gear with the Xpander, pairing a 105 PS/141 Nm 1.5-litre four-cylinder MIVEC engine to a CVT.

It’s also front-wheel drive, but comes with the brand’s fame Active Yaw Control (AYC) system, which adjusts torque between the front left and right wheels for improved handling in various conditions.

From its regional debut in 2023, we learned that the Xforce’s suspension setup specifically for the ASEAN region. It features MacPherson struts in the front and a torsion beam setup at the rear, complemented by specially tuned rear suspension bushes and large shock absorber cylinders. Mitsubishi claims that these enhancements provide a comfortable ride, even on rougher roads common in the region.

On the safety front, the Xforce is well-equipped with six airbags as standard. Other notable safety features include blind-spot warning (BSW), rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA), and the previously mentioned AYC system. These additions enhance driver confidence and vehicle stability in various driving conditions.

The centerpiece of the cabin is a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) infotainment screen, paired with an 8.0-inch digital driver display.

The Xforce was previously spotted in Malaysia over a year ago, sparking speculation that Mitsubishi could eventually introduce it to our market. More to come as we have it.
