![Honda CR-V’s Thai sales continue to slide, outsold by Subaru Forester in March 2022 01]()
Once the best-selling C-segment SUV in Thailand, the Honda CR-V continues its slump in the monthly sales rankings. Having been outsold by 2 Chinese SUVs in the first two months of 2022, another unexpected rival has overtaken the CR-V’s sales in March – the Subaru Forester.

According to data gathered by Autolife Thailand, 255 units of the Forester were sold in Thailand in March 2022 compared to 127 units for the CR-V. The Subaru SUV's outstanding sales performance for that month also saw it overtaking the Honda as the Kingdom's third best-selling C-SUV for 2022 so far (Forester: 567 units, CR-V: 511 units).

Taking first and second place in the C-SUV sales in the Kingdom for March 2022 is the Haval H6 and the MG HS with 314 units and 262 units respectively. The Haval is expected to be launched in Malaysia later this year but it might be difficult for it to take over the title from the Proton X70.

Still, with the right price and equipment, the Chinese SUV could pull a surprise move in the sales chart. The H6’s affordable price and generous equipment are among the reasons why it moved up the sales charts so quickly even though it has only been on sale for less than a year.
