Honda Malaysia concluded a rather successful year in 2022, managing to deliver a total of 80,290 vehicles to customers across all models despite longstanding supply chain challenges caused by the shortage of semiconductors.
Honda Malaysia President & CEO Mr Sarly Adle Sarkum added, “Honda Malaysia sold a total of 80,290 units last year, which was a 51 percent increase from the total sales in 2021. The total sales represented 11.1 percent of the Total Industry Volume (TIV) in 2022. The company also retained its No.1 position in the Non-National Passenger Vehicle Segment for the ninth consecutive year,”

Moving forward, Honda Malaysia has set a sales target of 80,000 units for 2023, equating to 12.3 percent of Total Industry Volume (TIV).
Although 2023 forecasts are more conservative compared to the 2022 sales figures, the forecasted sales are in tandem with the reduction of Malaysia's 2023 TIV, but a higher market share (compared to the current 11.1 percent) is targeted.

The Penjana scheme (which ended 30-June 2022) boosted 2022’s TIV to an all-time high of 720,658 units in 2022. In 2023 however, the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) has forecasted an approximately 10 percent lower TIV of 650,000 units.
To maintain momentum in 2023, Honda Malaysia will be launching three all-new models, as well as one facelift model. Leading this charge will be the much-anticipated Honda WR-V crossover which is slated for launch in Q3.

Besides new model launches, Honda Malaysia also plans to introduce several aftersales activities such as its 2S (Service and Spare Parts) Pit Stop centre to further enrich its customer experience and fulfil the rising demand from current and potential customers.
