With close to 200 units of EVs delivered under its badge, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) decided the best way to mark the occasion would be with a little convoy with owners as a sign of appreciation for putting their trust in Hyundai EVs.
The carmaker recently played host for a weekend getaway at Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort for 25 EVs comprising the Ioniq 5 and Kona Eelectric as well as their respective owners and families of course.

The event began with breakfast and a safety briefing before flagging off from Hyundai’s showroom located at Sime Darby Motors City before the convoy headed to the resort through the scenic routes of Bagan Lalang.

“We have delivered close to 200 units of EVs since the Kona Electric launch late last year and the Ioniq 5 launch in March this year. We really appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding as we contended with the many trials and tribulations brought on by the global chip shortages,” said Low Yuan Lung, Managing Director of HSDM.
“This appreciation getaway was hosted to thank our customers for their support and to allow owners of our EVs to network, get to know one another as well as to share their EV ownership experience,” he added.

Asari Ramli, a proud Ioniq 5 Plus owner, said he enjoyed this event where owners get to share their thoughts on the driving capabilities of the Hyundai EV.

“This event is very well organised. It is the first interactive event that I have attended and a good platform for owners to share knowledge and tips, especially on the great safety features of the vehicle,” he said.
This event was organised as part of the company’s commitment in delivering products and services that are ‘geared for distinction’ in ensuring that customers enjoy a new definition of luxury.
