Named just ‘2.4’, the Indonesian-specs Odyssey is powered by a 2.4-litre, naturally-aspirated engine paired to a CVT. Output is rated at 173 PS and 225 Nm.
Tough but not obnoxious exterior
A pair of LED headlights, with sequential signal lights that are all the rage these days, give the Odyssey a distinctive yet imposing look.
The strong aesthetic flows on the sides as well, capped off by 17-inch wheels.
Meanwhile the rear-end gets a redesigned pair of LED combination tail lights. The design exudes a calm and confident look which looks even better in black - the other colour option Indonesian buyers get.
Futuristic interior
Walk into the Odyssey and it’s the most space-age interior one can get from an MPV in recent times.
It’s littered with screens - controls for the triple-zone automatic air-conditioning system is a small touchscreen located next to the gear lever, there’s a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and of course, there’s also an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Heck even the second-row occupants get touch controls for the air-conditioning system.
Speaking of second-row, occupants in the middle sit on 'sofa-like' leather captain seats, which are fully reclinable.
Other cool stuff includes a power sunroof, ambient lighting in the second row, and a powered tailgate with kick-sensor.
Fitted with Honda Sensing
Safety-wise, the Indonesian-specs Odyssey comes with the Honda Sensing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite:
Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBS)
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Beyond that, the Odyssey also gets a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert (BSM, RCTA), hill start assist (HSA), in addition to regular features like 6 airbags and ISOFIX tethers.
