Since last week, Honda Malaysia begun organizing previews of its all-new 2022 Honda HR-V at various dealers, and from what we’ve gathered, the new B-segment crossover is on its way to be an immensely popular model, just like its predecessor.
According to dealers we spoke to, interest for the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V is very encouraging. So much so that interest levels surpass the FE Honda Civic.
And that’s well before Honda Malaysia even announce prices of the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V. In our earlier article, we predicted that prices of the all-new Honda HR-V could increase by around 5 to 10 percent, depending on variant.
Seeing how popular the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V has been, buyers need to brace themselves for a long waiting period, probably up to 6 months – particularly for the HR-V 1.5 RS variant.
As the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V had yet to be officially launched in Malaysia, Honda has yet to reveal its order banks for the new model, but it is definitely populating quicker than expected. Bookings for the new B-segment crossover were opened last week.
In terms of powertrain, the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V will be offered across 3 different 1.5-litre units. The first is a naturally-aspirated unit (121 PS, 145 Nm), a turbocharged one (177 PS, 240 Nm), as well as a petrol-electric hybrid (131 PS, 253 Nm).
Furthermore, like its smaller stablemates, the City and City Hatchback, the all-new Honda HR-V will also receive the full Honda Sensing ADAS suite – something that was sorely missing on the predecessor model. This time around, Honda Sensing is fitted, as standard, across the entire line-up.
Other noteworthy standard equipment of the all-new Honda HR-V include LED headlights, electric parking brake with Auto Brake Hold, rear air-conditioning vents, and an 8-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
If you’re interested, feel free to drop by at your nearest Honda dealer to check out the model.
