The Isuzu D-Max has proven to be a crowd favourite in Thailand, as it was the best-selling pick-up trucks in the Kingdom for the first half of 2021.

Sales data compiled by HeadlightMag shows that 75,629 units of the Isuzu D-Max were sold between January to June, securing it a decent lead over the second place Toyota Hilux (61,833 units).

That said, in June, sales of the Toyota Hilux did overtake the D-Max (12,704 units vs 11,422 units). Time will tell if this momentum for the Hilux continues, or will the D-Max still reign supreme.

Sitting in third place is the Ford Ranger, with 13,760 units sold within the first half of the year. The Mitsubishi Triton, although a crowd favourite in Indonesia, is fourth in Thailand’s pick-up sales chart, with 11,054 units sold.

The Isuzu D-Max’s twin, the Mazda BT-50, only managed 668 units, making it the second worst-selling pick-up truck in Thailand after the Tata Xenon (22 units).
