The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will be making its global debut on 19-April 2022 via live stream. Based on the new dedicated EV modular platform (EVA2), the EQS SUV is the third model to be underpinned by EVA2 after the EQS sedan and EQE.

As its name suggests, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV aims to combine the design and comfort of the EQS sedan with the space and versatility of an SUV.

While its specs have yet to be revealed, we can expect a similar, if not identical, electric propulsion system to the EQS with dual motors on each axle (AWD) and a rather large 107.8 kWh battery pack, which should provide around 600 km driving range. We can also expect output figures of up to 523 PS and 855 Nm, which the EQS 580 offers.

Inside, the massive MBUX Hyperscreen – a curved glass screen that covers the entire width of the dashboard - will be available in the EQS SUV. There is also a third row, which makes this a 7-seater SUV like the Mercedes-Benz GLS.

That’s it for now, more will be revealed at the debut. But before that, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Ola Kaellenius has given us a preview of the EQS SUV.
