The Road Transport Department has issued a reminder on the dress code when visiting a JPJ office. Fashionably ripped jeans are part of the list of clothing items that are not recommended to be worn at a JPJ office.
Other clothing items forbidden at JPJ offices include the usual shorts (this includes your sports and “fashionable” bicycle shorts), slippers, and sleeveless shirts. For ladies, the department’s infographic also reminds you that skirts that end above the knee are not allowed as well.
This dress code doesn’t just apply for when visiting JPJ counters, it also applies for all government offices, so to prevent getting removed from the premises we recommend dressing appropriately before leaving the house!
On a side note, do be aware of the limited services that you can perform at JPJ counters if you are residing in a state where MCO is implemented.
