If you loved Parasite and Taxi Driver, then you’re going to love this new K-Movie. Titled Special Delivery, or Teuk Song in Korean, the movie is a cross of Jason Statham’s classic The Transporter and Taxi Driver only with more grit and emotional struggles.
The movie stars a BMW 5 Series E34, E39, and Park So Dam as Jung Eun Ha, a delivery driver with a 100 percent success rate who works for a company that “delivers whatever the post office won’t, no matter what it is or what it takes”.
However, during one of the jobs, she was unwillingly embroiled in a mission to deliver a package that includes a young boy.
Unable to ignore her need to keep the child safe, Eun Ha had to put all her driving skills to use to escape corrupted cops and a National Intelligence agent who would stop at nothing to convict her. The big question is: will she be able to keep her 100 percent record?
Special Delivery is actress Park So Dam’s return to the silver screen after three years after the critical success of the black comedy Parasite in 2019.
If you’ve watched the drama Taxi Driver, you will also recognise Kim Eui Sung who once again takes on the CEO role of the special delivery company. He’s probably had plenty of practice!
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
