Looks like the wait for the unveiling of the highly-anticipated 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift is set for 18-November 2021. It will be broadcast on Perodua’s official social media channels at 9 pm.
The updated King will see not just a new look, but an enhanced powertrain and features. It will be the first Myvi to come with a CVT automatic which in turn replaces the familiar 4-speed automatic.
However, the engines will remain the same, a 1.3-litre 1NR-VE (95 PS/121 Nm) and a 1.5-litre 2NR-VE (103 PS/137 Nm). Manual fans would be disappointed to hear that the 5-speed manual transmission will be dropped in this update.
Elsewhere, the updated Myvi will also get the Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA) ADAS, a more comprehensive safety suite than the A.S.A. (Advanced Safety Assist) 2.0 on the outgoing Myvi.
Aside from A.S.A., PSDA comprises three other assist features – Driving Assist, Parking Assist, and Headlamp Assist.
Expect the prices of the updated best-seller to be increased too with all the additional features, starting from RM 45,700 to RM 58,800. Prices of the pre-facelift Myvi start from RM 43,029 to RM 52,697.
