Just under a month after the refreshed 2022 Proton Saga was launched, the next big thing out of Tanjung Malim will be the 2022 Proton X70 facelift (MC1), and its first teaser is up on the carmaker's Facebook page today.

The post's sole photo showcases the new wheels that are to be on the X70 - and they're similar to the ones fitted on last year's limited-run X70 SE.

Naturally this is just a tease; everything else will be revealed on launch day which is this Thursday, 9-June 2022, 11 am.

Hype surrounding the X70 facelift sees the rumour mill churning overtime over the last couple of months.

Among the things we can expect making its way to the updated model includes a new engine (the 1.5-litre, turbocharged three-potter from the Proton X50), the return of all-wheel drive (AWD), and a slight visual refresh.
