Ahead of its official launch happening tomorrow (22-July 2022), the Mercedes-Benz EQS has been spotted on a trailer.

Last month, it was seen at a petrol station under a camouflage, making it anyone’s guess which variant it is. Globally, there are up to six variants of the EQS, with power outputs ranging from 292 PS/565 Nm all the way to 761 PS/1,020 Nm for the EQS AMG 53.

Most variants save for the base EQS 350 get a massive 107.8 kWh battery with a WLTP range of up to 784 km for the EQS 450+, while the EQS AMG 53 is rated at 586 km.

As for charging, all EQS variants come with an 11 kW onboard AC charger (22 kW onboard charger is available as an option) and maximum DC charging power of 200 kW.

For Malaysia, we could be getting the EQS 580, seeing that it is Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s flagship EV model. This variant outputs 523 PS/855 Nm and has a WLTP range of up to 676 km. This, however, is purely speculation at this point. Stay tuned as we bring you the latest updates.
