The upcoming 2020 Toyota Hilux facelift has leaked onto the internet before its official reveal.
Thanks to MileleMotors, we now have a good look at how Toyota’s popular pick-up truck will look like.
Up front, the updated Hilux receives a new hexagonal front grille, flanked by a pair of redesigned headlights. Depending on the trim, the headlights are either halogen or LED units.
The front bumper is also new, with redesigned front fog light surrounds and a narrower lower air intake.
As for the rear, the new Hilux gets new LED tail lights with new lighting pattern. LEDs are found on the tail light, stop light, and rear fog light.
Toyota will also be introducing 3 new colours on the updated Hilux, namely Emotional Red II, Oxide Bronze, and Dark Blue.
Apart from its new looks, the Hilux facelift could be fitted with a revised 2.8-litre turbodiesel with an increased power output to match the all-new, Thai market Isuzu D-Max 3.0’s 190 PS power figure.
Currently, the Hilux’s 2.8-litre turbodiesel is good for 177 PS and 420 Nm.
Toyota could be launching the new Hilux in Thailand later this year. As for Malaysia, we may need to wait till 2021 before the model is launched here.
