The limited-run 2021 Proton X70 Special Edition (SE) will be launched via an online event on this Thursday, 22-July 2021, 11 am.

To be hosted on Proton's official Facebook page, registration of interest for the model is also already live on the carmaker's website.

To recap, the X70 SE is limited to just 2,000 units and will be available in two colours: borrowing Ocean Blue from the Proton X50, and Ruby Red.

Other touches include dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels lifted from the Geely Boyue Pro, as well as black side mirrors and a black roof.

Inside, this limited-edition Proton X70 gets black Nappa leather seats and black interior trim pieces, as well as SE-branded carpet mats. The current Premium and Premium X variants of the X70 get brown Nappa leather seats.

Elsewhere, the rest of the Proton X70 SE remains the same as before, including its turbocharged 1.8-litre petrol engine and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic powertrain.
