The 2020 Bangkok International Motor Show is currently in full swing. One of the cars on display at the show is the 2020 MG ZS facelift. Since its launch in 2017, the ZS has established itself as one of the most popular B-segment SUVs in Thailand, it even outsold rivals like the Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-30 in the first 6 months of 2020.
Only 2 variants of the MG ZS SUV are offered in the Thai market. The more popular variant is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine that dispenses 114 PS and 150 Nm.

No changes were made to the engine when MG introduced the facelift in May this year, but MG did swap the 4-speed conventional automatic to a new CVT instead.
The ZS in Thailand also comes in an electric flavour that produces 150 PS and 350 Nm. The 60-kWh battery also has a range of 262 km.
Cosmetic changes include a redesigned grille and bumper along with new LED headlamps and tail lamps. MG has also swapped the old wheels for sportier 17-inch wheels.
Closer to home, the MG ZS in its EV form has been spotted multiple times in Malaysia. One of the occasions looked very much as if the SUV was specifically arranged for a public display.
Details are still scarce whether MG Malaysia would launch the ZS in only its EV form or will the 1.5-litre petrol engine SUV follow. What do you think of an affordably priced electric-powered SUV?
2019 MG Extender
Other than the MG ZS, MG Thailand also put the new 2020 MG Extender pick-up truck on display. The Extender was launched last year and is the company's first ever pick-up truck.
As MG is now owned by Chinese company SAIC, the MG shares the same platform as the Chinese Maxus T70.
The MG Extender runs on a 2.0-litre diesel engine that dispenses 164 PS and 374 Nm that is paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
