For the Chinese market, the all-new Honda Jazz is called the Honda Fit. The model gets a bespoke design that is unique for China.
Compared to other markets (Europe, Japan), the Chinese market Honda Jazz gets a proper front grille – unlike the European and Japanese Jazz’s one-piece design.
The front and rear bumpers are also unique to China.
Apart from the regular Jazz, buyers in China can also opt for the Jazz Crosstar – a unique version of the Jazz that gets SUV styling cues like flared fenders and roof rails.
Powering the Chinese market Honda Jazz is a 1.5-litre L15BU direct-injection petrol engine, outputting 130 PS and 155 Nm to the front wheels via a CVT-type automatic transmission. Unlike earlier generations of the Jazz sold in China, the all-new model isn’t available with a manual transmission.
Chances of the all-new Honda Jazz landing in Malaysia is really slim, as the City Hatchback is earmarked for this region.
Apart from being destined for region, the City Hatchback could find its way to other developing markets like Brazil and South America markets.
Spyshots of the Honda City Hatchback have begun emerging from Thailand, suggesting that the new model will make its world debut there, much like the all-new Honda City.
