The 2020 Toyota Fortuner facelift made its global debut back in June with more power and 1 brand new variant. Now Toyota Thailand is showcasing the new SUV at the 2020 Bangkok International Motor Show allowing us a chance to get an up-close view of the real car.
Thanks to our sister site Autofun, we bring you live photos of the updated Fortuner in better detail.
Toyota introduced 2 variants for the Fortuner with vastly different looks at the launch. Known as the Standard Model and Legender Model, both variants get LED headlamps with sequential LED signal indicators.
The Standard Model bears the most resemblance with the pre-facelift model but features new larger front grille and silver bumper strips for a sportier look. The 18-inch wheels have also been redesigned to further enhance the sleeker look that Toyota is going for.
The Legender Model makes one do a double-take when they come across the new SUV. Though it is just a different variant, the Legender’s dual-tone roof and larger 20-inch wheels make the SUV look vastly different from the Standard Model.
It seems Toyota has put a lot of emphasis on the Legender’s headlights. The Light Guiding Headlights with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) paired with LED Sequential Turn Signals as well as LED High Beam and LED Bi-Projector Low Beam.
Toyota is clearly aiming to push the new Fortuner towards the luxury and modern SUV.
At the moment there are still no details on when the new 2020 Toyota Fortuner facelift will be launched in Malaysia. Considering how the Fortuner is assembled in Malaysia so there might be a delay for the local market launch.
