Having previewed about two months ago, the G28 2021 BMW 330 Li M Sport is now officially launched in Malaysia. The locally-assembled (CKD) BMW 330 Li is priced at RM 290,284 (OTR excluding insurance and SST, inclusive of extended warranty + service package).

Price of the BMW 330 Li inclusive of SST (due after 31-Dec-2021) will be RM 299,800, which is just RM 1k shy of the estimated price during the preview. Here are the prices of the current BMW 3 Series range in Malaysia (SST-exempted):

Below are the dimensions of the G28 3 Series against the G20:

Power comes from the B48 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making 258 PS/400 Nm, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that spins the rear wheels. 0-100 km/h acceleration is timed at 6.2 seconds.

Like the 330i, the 330 Li wears the M Sport exterior package with more aggressive front bumper, slightly tweaked rear bumper with trapezoidal exhausts, and gloss black trims. The difference between the 330i and 330 Li is its wheel design; the 330 Li gets the 18-inch Style 858 M wheels. Headlights are adaptive LED units.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in Vernasca leather seats and the upper dashboard area is covered by Sensatec which is BMW's synthetic leather, finished in Mocha with black stitching.

Standard features include electronically-adjustable seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay, 205W 10-speaker HiFi sound system, and a head-up display (HUD).

Rear-seat passengers get a bit extra space now - the extra length and height of the 330 Li offers an additional 42 mm of legroom and 4 mm extra headroom over the standard 3 Series.

In terms of advanced safety features, the BMW 330 Li comes with:

• Front collision warning with brake intervention (FCW, AEB)
• Blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert (BSM, RCTA)
• Rear collision warning (RCW)
• Lane departure warning (LDW)

The BMW 330 Li M Sport comes in two colour choices – Mineral White and Carbon Black. Both exterior colour choices come with Leather Vernasca upholstery in Mocha with black stitching.

The BMW 330 Li M Sport is available at all authorised BMW dealerships nationwide from 16th July 2021. However, in accordance with the latest Movement Control Order, dealerships will be closed for physical viewing and customers are encouraged to view it online via the BMW Shop Online platform.
