Apart from the sophisticated 2021 BMW iX, BMW Thailand also welcomed the 2021 BMW iX3. Like the larger iX, the BMW iX3 is also an imported (CBU) model. Unlike the made-in-Germany BMW iX, the smaller BMW iX3 is imported from China.
Pre-bookings for the BMW iX3 will open on 21-June in Thailand. Only one variant will be offered in Thailand, which is the iX3 M Sport. The model will retail for THB 3,399,000 (~RM 450k).
The 2021 BMW iX3 is powered an electric motor capable of delivering 286 PS and 400 Nm. It takes the BMW iX3 6.8 seconds to complete the century sprint and top speed is 180 km/h.
An 80-kWh battery pack allows for a range of up to 460 km under the WLTP test cycle. When connected to a 150-kW DC charger, it takes just 34 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%.
The standard equipment list of the 2021 BMW iX3 is rather extensive, as it includes adaptive LED headlights with high-beam assistant, powered tailgate, heated front seats, tri-zone automatic air-conditioning, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.
Being an M Sport model, the BMW iX3 gets M Sport leather steering wheel, M anthracite headliner, and M interior trim.
Buyers in Thailand will get the choice of five colours, namely Carbon Black, Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Piemont Red and Sophisto Grey.
In terms of after-sales, BMW Thailand is offering the BSI Standard package with a 4-year unlimited mileage warranty as part of the package. As for the high-voltage battery, it is backed by an 8-year / 160,000-km warranty. Customers can opt for the BSI Ultimate that bumps the warranty to 6 years, costing an additional THB 110,000.
What about Malaysia?
Seeing that BMW Malaysia has teased the imminent arrival of the BMW iX and BMW i4, the smaller BMW iX3 should be finding its way here as well.
