Malaysians don’t just unite when it comes to sports, this incident of a car hijack proves that if someone requires help, Malaysians would also unite to throw in a helping hand. After watching a man hijacking a Honda City, several witnesses proceeded to trap the hijacker before he could escape.
According to the commentary of one of the videos, the victim, a woman, was stopped at a traffic light near NSK in Kuchai Lama when the hijacker jumped into the backseat of her unlocked car.
Shocked, she jumped out of the car to try to pull the hijacker out but the moment she exited the car, the man had climbed into the front seat.
After the hijacker sped off, a group of cars worked together to prevent the City from going any further. Someone had even been kind enough to pick up the woman who was left stranded at the junction.
The same video also further recorded the witnesses discussing their suspicion that the hijacker was drunk as he reeked of alcohol.
We give these brave people a standing ovation and we’re thankful that the hijacker did not pull a stunt like the viral Proton Waja from the month before.
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
