Mercedes-AMG A45S owner saved his car from flood damage by raising it up on papers

Thanks to quick thinking (and an abnormal amount of papers in his house), a Mercedes-AMG A45S owner saved his car from flood damage using one of the most common household things: a stack of paper.

Yuyu Chang, the owner of the Mercedes-AMG A45S, showed social media users how he managed to save himself a hefty repair bill or possibly even declare the car a total loss by raising his car on a stack of papers.

The post has since gone viral and social media users have started questioning how did he get his car onto the stack of papers in the first place? Chang revealed that he used the car jack to raise the car and slowly slide a stack of papers under each tyre as he went.

We’ve seen a handful of Perodua Myvis defying expectations and tackling the floods like champions, this is another amusing story that will help lift spirits amidst recovery from the devastation the flood left behind.

However, we wouldn’t encourage you to raise your car on paper. Sure, it worked for this A45S owner, but paper can easily disintegrate in water. Bricks would be a better choice if you have a few lying around.

There is also the matter of possibly lifting the car up unevenly, potentially causing the car to fall and damaging it. But we understand that desperate times call for desperate measures, so, be very careful when you’re lifting your car.

But if the floodwaters are still threatening to overwhelm your car, and you have no choice but to abandon it, remember to unplug your battery!
