Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has just previewed the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4Matic, alongside the EQB 350 and EQS 450+. The EQC is the EV version of the regular Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Just one variant is offered here, the EQC 400 4Matic, with an estimated price of RM 390k. The Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4Matic is expected to reach dealerships by October.

Like the other EQ-branded SUVs in Malaysia, the EQC is imported (CBU) from Germany. The EQC benefits from the government's EV incentives, which includes exemption of import, excise, and road tax, until 31-Dec 2023.

As the name suggests, the EQC 400 is powered by two electric motors, one mounted on each axle. This all-wheel drive SUV offers a combined output of 408 PS and 760 Nm.

Thanks to these figures, the dual electric motors is capable of rocketing the almost 2.5-tonne SUV from a dead-stop to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 180 km/h.

Power comes from an 80-kWh battery pack located in the floor pan of the SUV. The massive battery pack enables the EQC 400 to boast a range between 373 to 437 km. Power consumption under the WLTP test cycle is 22.3 to 25 kWh/100 km.

Its CCS2 charge port, located on the right side of the SUV, accepts up to 110 kW of DC fast charging, allowing for a 10% to 80% state of charge(SoC) in just 40 minutes. If DC fast charging isn’t available, trickle charging via AC will take up to 11 hours.
