Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled its new addition to its EV lineup, the Mercedes-Benz EQS. Built on an all-electric architecture, the EQS boasts an electric range of up to 770 km (WLTP).
Mercedes-Benz claims that the Mercedes-Benz EQS is the most aerodynamic production car in the world with a drag coefficient value of 0.20. It is also claimed to be the best in terms of quiet running.

The EQS features a fastback design with a one-bow lines and cab-forward design. The design philosophy of Sensual Purity, combined with Progressive Luxury, is reflected in generously sculpted surfaces, reduced joints and seamless transitions.
There are two versions of the EQS, namely the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ and the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4Matic. The latter is the range topping variant with a total power output of 523 PS, maximum torque of 855 Nm, and a 4.3 s century sprint time.

Both variants of the EQS come with a 107.8 kWh battery capacity and are capable of 200 kW DC fast charging. With such a high charging speed, you can regain up to 300 km of range in just 15 minutes, provided a suitable DC fast charger is available.
For AC charging, the standard OBC (on board charger) is rated at 11 kW, and an optional 22kW OBC is also available.
The highlight on the inside is the large MBUX Hyperscreen (141 cm in length) that spans across the dashboard. Multiple displays merge seamlessly to create an impressive curved screen band.
The “zero layer” allows for easy access, and 12 haptic actuators are placed behind the screen.
The EQS is also ready for Level 3 autonomous driving, but its availability will depend on options, countries, and available laws.
