In essence, My MBUX is the customisable aspect of the whole system. In a video featuring a talking Mercedes (an MBUX feature), the features highlighted include biometric authentication, multi-seat connectivity user experience, personalised media for passengers and augmented reality (AR) technology.
With a focus on customisation, updates to the system include different modes - Luxury mode, Performance mode and an Understated mode, among others - with each carrying its own set of visuals and animations. Other updates include gesture control, and a first-to-market AR heads-up display that shows information such as animated navigation arrows.
The updated MBUX is also equipped with multi-profile and multi-seat connectivity user experience. Users can log in to their profiles and get their preferred settings (seats, lighting) wherever they are sitting in the car. In addition, the system also allows seamless connectivity between each seat - including features like drag and drop file sharing and all the way to adjusting the car’s navigation preferences.
