Mitsubishi Motors Europe debuted the all-new 2023 Mitsubishi Colt today. The model is exclusively for European markets. If the design looks familiar, well that’s because it is a rebadged Renault Clio.

The Mitsubishi Colt-badged Renault Clio is made in Turkey, at Renault’s Bursa plant.

The reborn Colt will reach European showrooms in October and is the first time in 9 years that a Colt is sold once more.

Unlike the previous generation Colt, this one’s a two-motor full-hybrid. The 1.6-litre naturally aspirated engine is supported by a rather large (for such cars) 1.2 kWh battery.

There’s also a non-hybrid 1.0-litre turbocharged variant paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, and a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated variant paired to a 5-speed manual.

A full suite of advance driving aids, including adaptive cruise control with stop & go and autonomous emergency braking, are also available on upper variants.

Mitsubishi Motors is part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.

The Clio is the second Renault model to be rebadged as a Mitsubishi for the European market, after the Renault Captur-based 2023 Mitsubishi ASX.
