The Prime Minister of Malaysia announced today at a special press conference that the Movement Control Order (MCO) will be reinstated from 13 January 2021 to 26 January 2021 in 5 states and 3 federal territories, namely Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Melaka, Sabah, Putrajaya, and Labuan.
Meanwhile, Conditional MCO (CMCO) will be instated in states like Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang. Only Sarawak and Perlis are not affected by the reinstatement of MCO.

Residents in all states where MCO has been reinstated will be limited to a 10 km travel radius. As like before, the government encourages only 2 members in the family to head out only for the purchase of essential items.
Cross-state or district travels are strictly not allowed throughout the country, even in states that are not observing the full MCO measures.
Roadblocks will be set up starting from 12.01 am on 13 January 2021 onwards.
The government’s latest decision to reinstate the MCO is due to the on-going wave of Covid-19 spread. The daily new cases reported in the country has breached through 3,000 new cases per day and the Ministry of Health is unable to keep up with the growing number of Covid-19 patients.
Stay home and stay safe everybody! Remember to sanitise!
Update: As of 16 January 2021, MCO has been reinstated in 2 more states, namely Kelantan and Negeri Sembilan.
There isnโt a time in memory that doesnโt involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle womenโs magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
