The full-electric 2022 MG ZS EV facelift has made its official debut at the 2022 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). The electric vehicle (EV) is available in two variants, the MG ZS EV Z and the MG ZS EV X, and priced from THB 949,000 (~RM 120,000) onwards.
A little recap about the EV, MG launched the fully electric B-segment SUV back in June 2019. Since then, the EV has made waves amongst the Thais and quickly cemented its status as the Kingdom’s favourite EV.

The popularity of the pre-facelift was largely due to its price of THB 1,190,000 (~RM 151k) which in terms of EVs, was not very expensive. It also has an impressive range of 337 km based on the NEDC. This made the EV the perfect entry for buyers who wants to switch to EVs.
With its popularity amongst the Thais, it is not a wonder that MG would want to continue attracting more customers by keeping things fresh.

Engineers have bumped the battery capacity of the new ZS EV to 50.3 kWh which is good for a range of 403 km according to the NEDC.
The ZS’ motor has also been upgraded to bump power output up to 177 PS, originally the ZS EV only produces 155 PS, however, the torque output has been reduced from 350 Nm to only 280 Nm.

But other than the battery pack and motor upgrades, the MG ZS EV now also feature a whole new look. Previously, the ZS EV looks largely the same as the internal combustion engine (ICE) version.
Now the car features a new single-piece mask with a stamp effect in the place of a front grille and a longer bonnet length to give the SUV a more shark-like presence.

Designers claim that the new look will help improve the EV’s overall aerodynamics to help cut through the wind easier and reduce the use of energy.
This time, MG Thailand has two variants to offer; the MG ZS EV D and the MG ZS X.
