Instead of taking on its peers by showing off its prowess in dangerous stunts, Nissan Thailand has taken a more emotional tact when it comes to advertising the new 2021 Nissan Navara.

Though the video has its fair share of stunt driving that needs a ‘do-not-try-this-at-home’ warning label, it also includes a more touching sentimental story of friends enjoying off-road adventures together.

The video starts with 3 best friends enjoying themselves in the outdoors and watching a meteor shower in 1995. FYI, although the Navara, then known as the Frontier, has been around since 1997, it wasn’t on sale in South East Asia then.

It then fast forwards to 2021 where the 3 friends are still outdoor enthusiasts as they enjoy a good challenging drive in 3 Navaras. Of course, they did not miss out on showing off the pick-up’s safety ability either.

Closer to home, Edaran Tan Chong Motors (ETCM) launched the new 2021 Nissan Navara NP300 (D23) facelift back in April this year. Prices start from RM 91,900 for the Single Cab variant to RM 142,200 for the range-topping rugged Pro-4X.

Since its launch, the Navara has broken its own sales record as ETCM reported that they sold 415 units in May 2021 alone. The number exceeds the pick-up’s pre-pandemic sales records which averaged less than 350 units a month in 2019!
