Behold the new 2020 Toyota Yaris facelift! Like the newly-introduced Toyota Yaris Ativ sedan, aka the Toyota Vios in Malaysia, Toyota Motor Thailand has upgraded the new Toyota Yaris with Toyota Safety Sense, updated exterior stylings and a sportier interior as well as Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Cosmetically, the new Toyota Yaris is sharper than the outgoing generation with narrower squinty automatic LED headlamps paired with stylish LED DRLs. Toyota has also updated the Yaris’ grille with a black mesh pattern instead.

New side and rear skirting make the Yaris look sportier than ever while a new Attitude Black Mica roof will make the Yaris stand out in a crowd.
Like the Yaris Ativ, the Yaris hatchback will also feature new 15-inch two-tone brush alloy wheels to further enhance the car’s sportiness.
Head inside and you will notice that Toyota designers have done away with the chrome trims and replaced it with black silver bits for a cool modern look. Designers have also added 2 new USB ports in the rear so passengers in the back seat can charge their phones as well.
The 6.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system not only features Toyota’s mirror link connectivity, T-Link, but also allows drivers to connect their Apple devices via Apple CarPlay.
Other conveniences that Toyota has upgraded in the Yaris includes automatic wipers and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
As you know, the Yaris now features Toyota Safety Sense. Though it doesn’t get the full system, the Yaris still gets the all-important Pre-Collision safety system (AEB) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDW).
Closer to home, the current-generation Toyota Yaris made its return just last year in 2019 after a long absence in our market. The feature-packed Yaris has been well received so far making it the safest hatchback in its class.
With the way things are going, we’re pretty sure that we’ll probably see an update for the Yaris by 2021!
