Nissan India has set a date for the global debut of their latest SUV, the Nissan Magnite, and ahead of the launch, they gave us a brief teaser of the sub-4-metre SUV. From what we can see, the car looks very much like an Audi/Mazda mash-up.
Two engines will be on offer: a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine that dispenses 73 PS and 96 Nm and a 1.0 HR10 turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that is said to produce 96 PS.
Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a CVT-type automatic, though there is a possibility the car will come with an AMT-type automatic as well.
Interior gadgets include a 360-degree panoramic view monitor, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and automatic air-conditioning system.
The Magnite might an India-only product seeing as the SUV is built to be less than 4-metres in length. If you don’t already know, India’s tax system qualifies any car above 4-metres as luxury cars, hence why cars like the Honda City are marketed as a luxury vehicle.
There isnβt a time in memory that doesnβt involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle womenβs magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
