Typically, as a model reaches its tail-end of the lifecycle, sales generally taper off. The FC-generation Honda Civic seemingly bucks this trend in Thailand.
According to sales data compiled by HeadlightMag, Honda Thailand sold 903 units of the Civic in June, well ahead of other segment rivals like the Toyota Corolla Altis (649 units) and Mazda 3 (178 units). Impressive result, considering that the Civic is the oldest model here.

Cumulatively from January to June, Honda sold 7,352 units of the Civic, more than doubling what Toyota managed with the Corolla Altis (3,169 units). The Mazda 3, which is also the priciest of the trio, is still in third place with 1,270 units sold in the same period.
Honda Thailand will be launching the all-new 2021 Honda Civic this evening. It remains to be seen if the FE-generation Civic can continue the FC-generation model’s sales momentum.
