When we first sampled the 2020 Volkswagen Arteon, we noted that the Arteon could do with more power than 190 PS/320 Nm as its chassis can easily handle it. Well, there is a fully-imported unit with 280 PS/350 Nm and 4Motion all-wheel drive system currently for sale.

Listed on the DasWeltAuto website, the Volkswagen Arteon in question is priced at RM 269,888. In comparison, the “standard” locally-assembled Arteon with 190 PS is priced at RM 221,065.

It wears the same R-Line outfit with the gloss black exterior bits and R-Line moniker sprinkled here and there. Interestingly, it appears to be fitted with the outgoing larger 12.3-inch Active Info Display seen on the pre-facelift Passat.

The 11-speaker Dynaudio sound system is omitted in this unit. But the rest of the car seems to match the locally-assembled Arteon in terms of specifications. 

This Volkswagen Arteon with 280 PS and 4Motion is a one-off unit officially brought into Malaysia, and it’s currently up for grabs. So, what do you think of it?
