A total of 1,056 pure EVs have been registered in Thailand in 2020, with the bulk of the EVs coming from MG.

Headlight Magazine reports that leading the sales scoreboard is the MG ZS EV with a total of 824 units registered, contributing to 78.03% of the total number of EVs registered.

The MG ZS EV is an affordable all-electric SUV that starts at a price of 1,190,000 baht (RM 155,354).

Over 1,000 EVs registered in Thailand in 2020, MG ZS EV more popular than Tesla 01

Built on an ICE platform, a single electric motor (143 PS/350 Nm) powers the front wheels. The MG ZS EV is equipped with a 45-kWh battery providing 337 km of range (NEDC).

Trailing behind the affordable MG ZS EV is the Tesla Model 3 with 86 units registered and the Nissan Leaf with 54 units registered.
