Basic information 

2016 Toyota Vios GX, RM 93K

Reason why I bought this car 

• Replacement for existing car (Honda City 2012 model).
• Existing cars start to have mechanical issues and maintenance cost is very costly across months.
• I'm on the road at least 6- hours per day and I would need a reliable and fuel saving car.

Car selection process

• I had a budget: RM 80K -RM 110K 
• Models that I have considered include: Mazda 2 & Toyota Corolla Altis 

The reason why I choose this car

I choose the Toyota Vios GX model mainly due to its reputation on mechanical durability & fuel saving. As compared to Toyota Vios other variants (J,E,G), the GX model has a more elegant  yet not too sporty look as compared to TRD variant. As overall, it is well balanced in terms of exterior look. And for the interior, leather seat and elegant finishing touch my heart and convince me that this is the car that I want to drive. 

User experience

I have already done 120000 km.

The car is very comfortable to drive in terms of city drive or long journey drive. Due to my working nature, I would need to travel from Penang to Kuala Lumpur at least once a month. With driving on this Toyota Vios, I feel secure in terms of safety & mechanical reliability and it elevates the whole driving experience and makes it more "FUN" to travel around. The fuel consumption is really astonishing and it would be add-n benefit as it only costs about RM0.12-.13 per KM. I strongly feel the importance of fuel saving as previously the RON 95 pricing went up to RM2.20 sen per liter and it had created alot of headache for those who often travel and the travel allowance provided by the company is not enough to cover the cost.

Pros

• Pleasant drive 
• Leather Seat (very comfortable)
• Fuel Saving 
• High capacity of boot storage 
• Good handling capability 
• Toyota After Sales Service (Thumb Up)
• Affordable cost in term of maintenance

Cons

• Lack of infotainment system (No apple car play / android auto)
• No auto-cruising system
• No power boot 

Summary

Toyota Vios has been a very good and reliable car and I strongly recommend it for those who often travel on the road and are looking for fuel-saving. Less hassle, less worry and ready to go whenever you need it. 

Some interesting events

It had been almost 4 years since I had the car and it truly amazed me with the safety feature (braking system-ABS). There are several times where I almost get myself in a car accident and the ABS system saves me from it. With the impressive car handling performance and ABS system, I have less worry about traveling with this car every single day!
