Perodua Alza driver arrested! The children aren't hers

The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) has successfully arrested the driver of the Perodua Alza seen in the viral video speeding with three children perched on the window sill.

Thanks to helpful social media users, JSPT was able to trace the Alza to Kajang, Selangor. After a brief investigation, officers were able to confirm that the woman who owns the MPV was driving at the time the incident was caught on camera.

The three children seen in the video recorded on 25-December-2021 along Jalan Reko, Kajang, were the woman’s nieces and nephew who lives in Klang.

JSPT officers arrested the woman for further investigation under Section 336 of the Penal Code (Act 574) for endangering the lives of others and Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001 for abuse and neglect of the children under her care.

Once again, JSPT reminded the public to always drive safely and always put the safety of the passengers, especially children, at the utmost importance.
