According to Bernama, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the price cap is to protect consumers from the impact of rising fuel prices, as based on the current trend, prices of crude oil are expected to increase even further.
He also added that the government is subsidizing a total of RM 3 billion at the current prices.
