Staying true to its aggressive style, the 4 Series Coupé sits on a bespoke chassis and combines lightweight construction and driver-focused options to emphasise sharp driving dynamics, handling and agility. The bonnet, front side panels and doors of the Coupé are made from aluminium and produced at the Dingolfing press plant, and key chassis components such as galvanised front axle support, front and rear axle and axle transmission are made at the adjacent component plant, BMW Group Plant 02.10.
2021 BMW M440i xDrive
European sales for the 4 Series will start in October with 5 variants: 420i, 430i, M440i xDrive, 420d and 420d xDrive. The 430d xDrive and M440i xDrive will join the line-up in March 2021.
As for the 5 Series, BMW has enhanced both design and performance elements to the range. Design updates include a redesigned kidney grille, new L-shape headlight and three-dimensional modelling for the rear lights. Inside, the highlight is the inclusion of BMW Operating System 7, bringing support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
However, the biggest update to the new 5 Series is undoubtedly BMW’s 48V mild hybrid system on all four and six-cylinder variants of the model range, providing an additional 11 PS of electric boost or brake energy regeneration. All engine variants now will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. That’s not all though, we have covered the list of updates here.
