Proton Waja's not very fast but furious drama ends with the arrest of both suspects

On Friday evening, videos of a Proton Waja ramming into 2 other vehicles in an attempt to escape the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) went viral on social media. After a few plot twists and a manhunt issued, both suspects have been arrested.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal told media that the first suspect was arrested in Desa Aman, around 1 km away from where the suspects abandoned the Proton Waja along Jalan Kuala Selangor-Sungai Buloh.
PDRM later issued a statement that they were on the hunt for the second suspect, known as Bob Mah Sing. They even requested the public that has information about the suspect to contact the relevant authorities.
It wasn’t until 11.45 pm on the same day that they finally caught up with the second suspect in an apartment in Shah Alam.

The Star reports that the K9 and Forensics Unit found 1.7 g of heroin in the abandoned Waja. The suspect, Bob Mah Sing, had a record of 20 criminal cases while the other suspect had 8 cases.
“Both of them have been remanded until Tuesday. They also tested positive for drugs,” ACP Nik Ezanee said.

The Star has also reported more information on the car chase that started in Kampung Desa Aman to the Sierramas roundabout in Sungai Buloh.
ACP Nik Ezanee told the daily that the suspects had already rammed into one of the police cars giving chase hence officers were forced to open fire when the suspects continued ignoring orders to exit the vehicle.
“The suspects abandoned their damaged vehicle along Jalan Kuala Selangor-Sungai Buloh after it sustained a puncture,” ACP Nik Ezanee explained.
The case will be investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code, Section 427 of the Penal Code, Section 188 of the Penal Code, Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952, and Section 6(1) of the Corrosive Substances and Explosive of the Dangerous Weapons Act 1958.
