Proton's Saga returns to the top of A-segment sedan sales chart

Proton Saga best selling A-segment sedan

Proton is proud to announce that the brand has reached a new milestone in terms of sales breaking the record held in 2018. Proton achieved the highest market at percentage 20.2% (estimated) with 8,934 units (both domestic and export sales) registered in September 2019, that is a growth rate of 97% compared to 2018 of the same month.

Results were achieved with the help of both the Proton Saga and the Proton X70. The brand saw the Proton Saga return to the top of the sales chart as the best selling A-segment sedan with 3,994 units delivered in September, the highest for this year.

The Proton X70 on the other hand maintained firmly on its position as the country’s best selling SUV.

As a celebration of the SUV’s continuous success, Proton is offering additional benefits like 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and 5-year internet data packages to customers who purchased the SUV in the month of October.

Year-to-date, Proton has registered 70,330 units (domestic + export), this compares to 64,774 units for the same 9-month period from last year.
